If you answered yes to these questions, you could make a great fit for our Tulip Team! We will be open to the public 7 days/week from 10:00am-7:00pm.

Shifts fall between the hours of 9:30am and 7:30pm. Some “early bird” shifts also available. No farm experience is necessary. Customer Service experience is a plus.  We do require you to have a great attitude, be a team player, and be willing to learn.

 Want to become a year round "core" employee?

We are expanding and are looking to strengthen our "core" Wicked Tulips team. These positions are part time, paid on an hourly basis, based on experience and position. We are looking for:

  • Experienced tractor driver(s) for both our Exeter & Preston locations
  • General farm laborer 

Volunteering (application required)

Not interested in a paid position, but would like to work at the happiest place in Rhode Island & Connecticut? Volunteering might be for you. We ask that volunteers commit to at least 2 shifts per week; as a small business, it is difficult for us to train one-time volunteers.

As a volunteer you receive one Tulip Team t-shirt and 10 u-pick tulips and other tulip benefits. If you work 40 or more hours, we will make a monetary donation, in your name, to a charity of your choice.

 

Wicked Tulips Flower Farm is also hiring experienced farm hands for different positions to help us with planting 1.6+ million tulips this fall and ongoing support in the spring season as well, including;

 

  • Farm Equipment Operator
  • General Farm Laborer 

 

Positions are needed from early September into December for planting, then again in the SPRING.  Year round full time position available for the right candidate. 

 

If you like tractor work and don’t mind other farm labor, have a strong work ethic, are self-motivated, and able to work without supervision, you are a perfect candidate to join our team.

 

Summary of our farm

  • We maintain 60+ acres of farmland with cover crops.
  • We grow +/- 15 acres tulips and have plans for expanding into other flowers.
  • We have 3 locations: Exeter RI, Johnston RI & Preston CT. 



Requirements for Farm Equipment Operator:

 

  • Experience with driving large 80+hp farm tractor
  • Experience with heavy farm equipment
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds
  • Willing to do general farm labor
  • Willing to learn activities include plowing, harrowing, cultivating, stone digging, planting, seeding, mowing, harvesting. 
  • Have a strong work ethic, be self-motivated, and be able to work without supervision.

 

Requirements for General Farm Labor:

 

  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and willing to do some farm fitness. Our team is moving close to 100,000 pounds of bulbs in the hopper of the planter!
  • Willing to do general farm labor
  • Have a strong work ethic, be self-motivated, and be able to work without supervision.


What we offer:

Farm Equipment Operator starting rate $24/hr. Negotiable depending upon experience.

General Farm Labor starting rate $19/hr
